About Gerardo M. Balboni

Gerardo M. "Gerry" Balboni II is a seasoned corporate attorney based in Atlanta, Georgia, with over 40 years of experience in business and securities law. He is a partner at Krevolin & Horst LLC, a firm specializing in business and corporate law. Gerry represents growth companies, investors, and individuals involved in buying, selling, and investing in businesses. His practice areas include corporate law, technology law, mergers and acquisitions, venture capital, and securities regulation.

Gerry earned his Juris Doctor from the Cumberland School of Law at Samford University in 1984, graduating cum laude. During law school, he served as an Associate Editor of the Cumberland Law Review and was a member of the Henry Upson Sims Moot Court Board. He also received an MBA from Stetson University in 1977 and a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of South Florida in 1975. Admitted to the Georgia State Bar in 1984, Gerry has been an active member of the legal community. He has written the recent developments column for the Technology Law Section of the State Bar of Georgia and has authored articles on topics such as venture capital, mergers and acquisitions, securities, and taxation.

He is also a member of the American Bar Association and the Technology Section of the State Bar of Georgia. Throughout his career, Gerry has held various positions, including partner at Balboni Law Group LLC, Baker Donelson Bearman and Caldwell, PC, and Morris, Manning and Martin. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America since 2019 for his work in corporate and technology law. Gerry is actively involved in the Atlanta Venture Forum, the Technology Alliance of Georgia, and the Computer Law Association. He has served on committees for the Law of Cyberspace, Small Business, and Negotiated Acquisitions of the Business and Banking Law Section of the American Bar Association.

He is also a member of the Technology Section of the State Bar of Georgia. In addition to his professional achievements, Gerry enjoys sailing, fly fishing, cycling, gardening, and wine tasting. He has served as Senior Warden of St. Patrick's Episcopal Church in Dunwoody, Georgia, and is on the Board of Ring Lake Ranch in Dubois, Wyoming.
