About George Chadwell Creal
George Chadwell Creal Jr. built his legal foundation at the University of Georgia. He studied economics and political science there and went on to earn a J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1996. Those years shaped a practice built around courtroom work and procedural detail. He returned to his community to try cases and to advise clients on the consequences of criminal charges.
He began his post-law school career as an associate at Bentley, Seacrest & Karesh in 1994. Early courtroom assignments exposed him to hearings, motion practice and plea negotiations. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1993 and gained admissions to a number of federal and appellate benches soon after, including the Eleventh Circuit and the Georgia Supreme Court in 1994 and the United States District Court for the Middle District of Georgia in 1996. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court and other federal tribunals.
Creal has acquired specific training relevant to traffic- and DUI-related prosecutions. He holds NHTSA certification in DUI detection and standardized field sobriety testing through Ron Lloyd Enterprises. That credential complements courtroom experience in contested DUI cases and evidentiary hearings. Over the years he has handled criminal matters in both state and federal courtrooms, participating in trials, preliminary hearings and appellate filings.
Outside the courtroom he remains active in professional and community organizations. He serves on the Clayton County Law Library Board of Directors and holds memberships in the Atlanta Bar Association and the Clayton County Bar Association dating to the mid-1990s. He is listed in Who’s Who in American Law, 9th Edition, and has been a sustaining member of the Georgia Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. His record includes membership in bar and court organizations for federal and state jurisdictions, reflecting sustained involvement in the legal community.
Today he practices under the name George C. Creal, Jr., P.C. His work centers on criminal defense and related litigation in state and federal courts. He accepts cases that require courtroom representation, evidentiary advocacy and appellate work, and continues to serve clients across Georgia.
