About Genavieve Marie
Genavieve Marie Perino trained first as a political philosopher. She earned a B.A. in Political Philosophy, Policy and Law from the University of Virginia in 2007 and then turned to law at Washington University School of Law, receiving her J.D. in 2010. Those years set a pattern of practical legal work alongside academic study.
While in law school Perino took internships that placed her inside regulatory and prosecutorial institutions. In 2009 she worked at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission. The following year she interned with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of Missouri. Those positions exposed her to investigation and case preparation in both administrative and federal settings.
After law school she joined Fox, Goldblatt & Singer in 2010. Her resume shows moves across several St. Louis-area firms over the next decade. In 2014 she was at McCarthy, Leonard & Kaemmerer. She joined Littler Mendelson in 2016 and moved to Burger Law, LLC in 2018. The sequence reflects sustained engagement with litigation practices at multiple firms.
Perino is admitted to practice in Missouri and Illinois and has appeared before the Missouri Court of Appeals. She holds memberships in several professional organizations. Those include the Bar Association of Metropolitan St. Louis, where her affiliation dates back to 2007, and the Missouri Association of Trial Lawyers since 2010. She has been an affiliate member of the American Bar Association since 2013 and spent two years with the Theodore McMillian American Inn of Court from 2010 to 2012.
Her work has spanned state and federal matters as well as appellate filings. Over the course of her career she has prepared pleadings, participated in discovery and handled courtroom hearings. The mix of placements—from a federal prosecutor’s office internship to roles at firms handling civil litigation—shaped a practice that moves between trial-court work and appellate briefing.
Clients and colleagues describe Perino as a lawyer who pairs courtroom experience with a steady procedural knowledge. She has maintained continuous practice in the St. Louis legal community while holding membership in both statewide and national bar groups. She currently practices at Burger Law, LLC. Her caseload centers on litigation and appellate advocacy.
