About Gary
Gary Hill graduated from Emory College in 1973 and earned his J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 1977. He remained in Georgia after law school and developed a practice built around courtroom work and trial litigation. He has been a member of the state bar and of several local and national bar associations for many years.
His early years in practice coincided with a period when trial work drove much of civil litigation. Hill gravitated toward that side of the profession. He joined Hill & Bleiberg, where he has spent the bulk of his career. At the firm he has taken cases to jury trials and argued complex evidentiary issues in state courts across Georgia.
Outside the courtroom he has maintained an active presence in the professional community. His memberships include the Georgia State Bar Association, the Atlanta Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Lawyers Information Exchange Group. He is also listed in organizations oriented toward trial lawyers: the Association of Trial Lawyers of America and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. Those memberships reflect sustained engagement with trial practice and continuing legal education.
Hill’s involvement extends into subject-specific advocacy as well. He is a member of the Brain Injury Foundation and the Lawyers Club of Atlanta. Those affiliations suggest sustained interest in serious-injury matters and in broader civic and professional issues affecting lawyers and clients alike. He has participated in group events and seminars aimed at improving trial skills and staying current on developments in personal-injury litigation.
Colleagues describe Hill as a lawyer who relies on courtroom experience and a steady familiarity with Georgia procedure. He has practiced through several shifts in tort law and litigation practice. He has handled cases that required developing medical and expert testimony, preparing witnesses for trial, and pursuing verdicts or settlements on behalf of injured clients.
Now in his fifth decade since law school, Hill continues to work at Hill & Bleiberg. He remains an active member of several bar and trial groups and continues to accept civil litigation matters. He maintains a practice centered on trial work and civil cases involving serious injury, including brain injury matters.
