About Gary E
Gary E Williams built a career that bridges business training and courtroom practice. He completed an MBA in business at the Florida Institute of Technology in 1988 and later earned his J.D. from Stetson University College of Law in 2005. Those degrees set the stage for a practice that combines fiscal awareness and legal technique.
After law school, Williams joined the Florida Bar in 2005 and began practicing in state courts. He went on to qualify before the U.S. Supreme Court as well. In 2007 he founded The Law Office For Family Law. He has led that firm as a principal attorney since then, managing cases and advising clients in family law matters.
Williams is board certified in marital and family law by The Florida Bar. He also holds Board Certified Advocate status in family law from the National Board of Trial Advocates. Those certifications reflect formal recognition of his trial experience and knowledge in the family law arena rather than a promotional claim.
Throughout his career he has remained active in local and regional bar associations. He has been a member of the Clearwater and St. Petersburg Bar Associations since 2005. He joined the Hillsborough County Bar Association in 2010 and the West Pasco Bar Association in 2014. Earlier in his career he served as a barrister member of the Canakaris Inns of Court from 2007 to 2015 and completed the Leadership Pinellas program in 2010.
His practice has focused on contested divorces, child custody disputes, support matters and asset division. He draws on both his business background and trial credentials when preparing cases. He has handled hearings and trials in Florida courts and maintains the credential that allows appearances in the nation’s highest court should that ever be required.
Colleagues and peers have noted his long-standing membership in multiple bar groups and his board certifications as markers of his professional standing. Williams continues to accept new and ongoing matters through The Law Office For Family Law, where he handles courtroom work and client counseling. He represents clients in matrimonial and family law matters.
