About Gabriella Hashem
Gabriella Hashem Farhat graduated from Villanova University School of Law and moved quickly into courtroom work. Early on she secured a clerkship at the U.S. Federal Courthouse for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania. That role put her inside the day-to-day of federal litigation and gave her close exposure to judges’ decision-making.
Her career path has emphasized appellate and trial procedure. She holds admissions to the Federal Circuit and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit, as well as the Pennsylvania bar. Those credentials allow her to handle matters in state and federal forums and to accept appeals when cases progress beyond the trial court.
Farhat’s professional memberships reflect the range of her practice. She is a current member of the Pennsylvania State Bar, the Lancaster Bar Association, the American Bar Association and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. She also belongs to the Million and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. These associations connect her to peers who practice both litigation and appellate work and to resources useful in complex civil cases.
Colleagues say her clerkship experience remains a touchstone of how she approaches filings and oral argument. Working inside the Eastern District offered her repeated practice in drafting bench memos, preparing judges for hearings and managing procedural deadlines. Those tasks translated into practice habits that emphasize punctual filings and concise appellate briefs. She has applied that background to cases that require careful procedural strategy in both state and federal systems.
Today Farhat continues to practice in Pennsylvania and in the federal courts where she is admitted. Her work encompasses litigation matters that may proceed to trial and, where appropriate, appellate review. She maintains active involvement in local and national bar organizations and participates in forums that address trial and civil justice issues. Her current practice focuses on litigation and appellate matters in Pennsylvania and the federal courts where she is admitted.
