About Gabriel Zalman
Gabriel Zalman Levin began his path to law at Franklin & Marshall College, where he earned a B.A. in Religion in 1995. He went on to Temple University, finishing his J.D. in 1999. Those formative years combined liberal arts study with legal training and set the stage for a courtroom career.
He entered public defense early. In 2002 Levin joined the Philadelphia Public Defender's Office as an Assistant Defender. The docket there is busy and often unforgiving. He handled motions, client interviews and trial preparation against tight deadlines. That experience sharpened his trial instincts and gave him sustained time in front of judges and juries.
Three years later Levin moved into private practice. In 2005 he became a partner at The Levin Firm. His role at the firm broadened responsibilities beyond individual cases. He began supervising others, managing case strategy, and engaging with complex litigation that required coordinated teams. That transition reflected a shift from single-office trial work to larger case management and client counseling.
Levin is admitted to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and is also admitted to the Federal Circuit. He is listed by the National Trial Lawyers among their Top 100 Trial Lawyers, a recognition tied to trial experience and peer review. Professionally he remains active in bar circles. He holds membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar and in the Philadelphia Bar Association, organizations that connect trial lawyers across the region and provide continuing legal education.
Colleagues describe his courtroom manner as direct and unadorned. He prepares extensively for hearings and focuses on the evidentiary work that trial judges and jurors rely on. Outside the courtroom he has overseen discovery teams and coordinated expert testimony when cases required it. His practice has spanned state and federal matters, and he has managed appeals that required briefing at the appellate level.
Levin currently practices at The Levin Firm, where his work concentrates on trial litigation across state and federal courts. He maintains an active trial calendar and continues to represent clients in contested proceedings.
