Mr. Avina earned his Juris Doctor degree from Loyola Law School in Los Angeles, where he graduated in 2001. Prior to law school, he completed his undergraduate education at the University of California, Santa Barbara, receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree. During his time at Loyola Law School, he was involved in various legal clinics and externships, gaining practical experience in multiple areas of law.
Mr. Avina concentrates his practice in the areas of personal injury, criminal defense, civil rights, and DUI/DWI defense. He represents individuals in matters involving workplace discrimination, wrongful termination, wage and hour disputes, premises liability claims, and various criminal offenses. Prior to founding his own firm, he worked as an associate at a mid-size litigation firm in Century City for five years.
Mr. Avina is an active member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the California State Bar Association. He holds membership in the American Bar Association Section of Litigation. He is also a certified mediator through the Los Angeles County Superior Court mediation program.
