About G. Rick
G. Rick DiGiorgio began his path to the law at Centre College, where he completed a Bachelor of Arts. He went on to earn his Juris Doctor from Cumberland School of Law at Samford University. Those two institutions anchored his early legal formation and prepared him for a courtroom career in Alabama.
After law school he entered practice in Alabama and over time took on increased responsibility within his firm. He is a shareholder at Cory Watson Crowder & DeGaris, where he has handled litigation and trial matters. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and thorough in preparing cases, qualities that shaped his ascent to firm leadership.
DiGiorgio’s professional affiliations reflect an emphasis on trial practice and bar activity. He holds membership in the Birmingham Bar Association, the Alabama State Bar and the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association. He is also listed as a current member of the American Association of Justice and the National Lawyers Association. Among local legal circles he played a founding role in the St. Thomas More Society of Metro Birmingham, serving as its inaugural president.
That mix of civic and professional involvement has kept him engaged in both the practical and collegial sides of the bar. He has taken part in association events and contributed to discussions on litigation practice and professional ethics. His time as inaugural president of the Catholic lawyers’ group placed him at the center of organizing for local attorneys with shared religious and professional interests.
In the office he combines courtroom experience with case management responsibilities expected of a shareholder. He oversees case strategy, directs discovery and works with other lawyers at the firm on complex filings. He has also mentored junior attorneys and staff, helping them navigate the procedural demands of trial litigation in Alabama courts.
Clients and peers encounter a lawyer who values preparation and clarity. He practices in Alabama and remains active in the state bar. He currently focuses on civil litigation and trial work representing clients in Alabama.
