About Frank
Frank Bailey has spent more than three decades working in Connecticut courts and administrative forums. He entered the legal profession after finishing law school in the late 1980s and began his career at a small Connecticut firm. Over the years he has built a practice grounded in the procedural and evidentiary work that governs contested claims.
Bailey received his undergraduate degree from Cornell University in 1984. He stayed in the Northeast for law school and earned his J.D. from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1987. Those formative years framed his interest in litigation and the practical side of adjudication. He passed into the Connecticut bar and moved quickly into private practice.
He joined Tremont Sheldon P.C. in 1987. The move came at the start of his career and, by most accounts, defined his professional life. At the firm he handled cases that required courtroom presence as well as appearances before administrative bodies. His file work and hearing preparation became regular parts of his calendar.
Outside the office, Bailey has remained active in state professional circles. He is a current member of the Connecticut State Bar. He also holds a leadership position in the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association, where he serves as Workman's Compensation chairman. That role places him in contact with both claimant and defense practitioners and keeps him involved in discussions about procedural changes and statutory interpretations that affect state practice.
Colleagues describe him as steady and methodical. He tends to approach cases by breaking them into discrete issues. That method shows in hearings that often hinge on medical records, vocational assessments and credibility findings. He is experienced in marshaling evidence and preparing witnesses for administrative hearings. Over time his practice has emphasized the mechanics of proving or defending claims rather than high-profile public litigation.
Bailey’s courtroom work sits alongside regular responsibilities at Tremont Sheldon P.C. He continues to prepare cases for hearing, manage discovery and handle client counseling on claim prospects and settlement considerations. His experience in the administrative sphere informs how he frames arguments and anticipates procedural hurdles.
He remains based in Connecticut and continues his work at Tremont Sheldon P.C., handling workers’ compensation matters and related litigation in state forums.
