About Francesca A.
Francesca A. Iacovangelo began her legal path after completing a communications degree at Syracuse University in 1999 and earning her J.D. from Villanova University School of Law in 2002. Those early academic choices set a tone for a career that has moved between public service, courtroom practice and private-sector litigation. She has remained connected to Villanova through service on the law school alumni board.
Her first post-law school role was as an assistant public defender in Chester County in 2002. That work placed her in courtrooms early and gave her direct trial experience defending clients in criminal matters. She left the public defender’s office after several years and briefly worked outside law as a sports reporter for PressPass TV in 2007. The detour into media was short-lived; she returned to legal practice and took an associate position in 2008 at the Law Office of Charles W. Proctor, III.
Over the next decade Iacovangelo moved through several associate and trial roles. In 2009 she joined Britt, Hankins & Moughan as an associate. She later served as senior trial lawyer in 2013 for the Law Offices of Kenneth O’Neill, acting as staff counsel for Allstate Insurance Company. In 2016 she began work as a lawyer at McCann & Wall LLC. Those positions reflect steady work in litigation and trial settings, where she gained experience on both sides of client representation.
Iacovangelo is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania and New York, to the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and in New Jersey. She is a current member of the Pennsylvania State Bar and the Philadelphia Trial Lawyers Association. She also serves on the board of the Justinian Society of Philadelphia and sits on the Villanova Law School Alumni Board. In the local court system she is active as an arbitrator and a judge pro tempore for the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
Her professional record shows a blend of criminal defense, civil litigation and insurance-related trial work. She has repeatedly returned to roles that require courtroom presence and case management, moving from public defense to insurance litigation and private practice.
Iacovangelo maintains multiple office presences across the region, including locations in Philadelphia, Delaware County, New Jersey, Wilmington and Montgomery County. She currently practices litigation in state and federal courts and serves in arbitrator and judge pro tempore capacities in the Philadelphia Court of Common Pleas.
