About Erin O.
Erin O. Duques built her legal foundation in Connecticut after completing a B.B.A. in Business Administration with a concentration in marketing from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and earning her J.D. from Quinnipiac University School of Law in 2002. Her education combined business training and legal study, a background that informed both in-house and private-practice roles she later took on.
She first worked in private practice and then moved into in-house counsel roles. In 2009 she practiced at the Law Offices of Jennifer Laviano. The following year she became general counsel for Vista Vocational & Life Skills Center, a role that placed her at the intersection of legal compliance and organizational management.
Duques remained with Vista Life organizations through a number of roles over the next decade. She served as Director of Advocacy Services in 2013 and was promoted to Director of Operations in 2015. Those positions combined program oversight, regulatory work, and coordination with service partners. The experience gave her sustained exposure to health- and disability-related regulatory frameworks and the practical challenges that nonprofits face.
She returned to private practice in the mid-2010s, joining Sullivan, Griffith & Beatty, LLP in 2016. By 2019 she was practicing at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC. Across her career she has alternated between firm work and organizational leadership, bringing perspectives from both settings to cases and client counseling.
Outside the office, Duques has been active in local and professional organizations. She is a member of the Connecticut State Bar and participates in its Elder Law and Trusts and Probate sections. She has served on the SARAH Foundation board and been a trustee at Mitchell College. Locally she served on her town's Board of Selectmen from 2020 to 2021 and has been a member of the Town of Madison Affordable Housing Committee since 2022.
Her practice is based in Connecticut. She has handled matters that relate to elder law, trusts and probate as well as organizational legal needs that arise from nonprofit operations. She now practices at Czepiga Daly Pope & Perri LLC, where her work centers on elder law, trusts and probate matters in Connecticut.
