About Erin Marie

Erin Marie Hargis graduated from Vassar College in 2001 and earned her J.D. from Brooklyn Law School in 2004. Her academic path combined a liberal arts undergraduate degree with three years of legal training in Brooklyn, where she developed an early interest in litigation and courtroom procedure.

She began her legal career in 2004 at the Brooklyn District Lawyer's Office as an assistant district lawyer. That early public-service role gave her regular exposure to courtroom work and client advocacy. It was hands-on experience in fast-paced, high-pressure settings.

In 2008 she moved to private practice as an associate at Garson DeCorato & Cohen. There she handled civil matters and supported trial teams. Case preparation, depositions and motion practice became part of her daily routine. The work broadened her litigation skills and introduced her to extended civil discovery and personal-injury case structures.

By 2011 Hargis had joined Rosenberg & Gluck, LLP as a partner and a personal injury litigation lawyer. Her title reflects both leadership responsibilities and an emphasis on injury cases. She has since been involved in representing clients across a variety of personal injury matters. She works on all phases of litigation, from initial pleadings through trial preparations.

Hargis is admitted to practice in New York, New Jersey and the District of Columbia. That multi-jurisdictional licensure allows her to take on cases that cross state lines and to advise clients on procedural questions in different courts. She has balanced courtroom appearances with settlement negotiations over the course of her career.

Her background spans public and private sectors and includes steady progression from assistant district lawyer to partner. That trajectory has shaped how she evaluates cases. She tends to weigh the practical risks of litigation against the potential benefits of resolution. Colleagues describe her as pragmatic in approach and thorough in casework.

She currently practices at Rosenberg & Gluck, LLP, where her work centers on personal injury litigation.
