About Erika
Erika Scheideman built her legal foundation in California. She graduated from Pacific Union College in 2006 and earned her J.D. at Pepperdine University School of Law in 2009. Those years shaped the practical and academic skills she brought into practice.
After law school, Scheideman entered the legal community in Los Angeles County. She joined local bar groups and professional organizations early on. She is a member of the American Bar Association, the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association. Those memberships keep her connected to peers and current developments in the courts that serve the region.
Her trajectory has included both courtroom work and client counseling. Scheideman developed experience handling matters that require attention to procedural detail and careful client communication. She has worked alongside colleagues at firms that serve individuals and businesses in the area, learning the operational side of running a practice and the demands of case preparation.
Colleagues describe her approach as methodical. She breaks complex issues into manageable parts and prioritizes clear explanations for clients. That style suited her as she took on increasingly responsible roles at the firms where she practiced. Over time she handled filings, negotiated on behalf of clients and prepared materials for hearings and trials.
Scheideman’s professional memberships have played a steady role in her development. Participation in the Los Angeles County Bar Association and the Pasadena Bar Association has offered continuing legal education and local networking. Her membership in the American Bar Association has provided national perspective on practice trends and ethics. Those affiliations inform how she assesses legal questions and stays current on procedural changes.
Today she practices at the Law Offices of Makupson & Howard. There she applies the skills gained over more than a decade in practice. Clients encounter an attorney who has both courtroom experience and an understanding of local legal institutions. Her work combines case management, client advising and preparation for complex proceedings.
Scheideman maintains an active presence in the Southern California legal community and balances casework with continuing education. Her current practice focuses on client representation through the Law Offices of Makupson & Howard.
