About Erica Leigh
Erica Leigh Brynes practices across state lines. She has built a career that moves between New York and California, carrying an academic background that combines technical study and legal training. Those two threads appear throughout her work.
Brynes completed a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications Management at Ithaca College in 1994. She then attended Roger Williams University School of Law, earning her J.D. in 1997. The combination of an undergraduate focus on communications systems and a law degree informs how she approaches complex regulatory and transactional issues.
After law school, Brynes entered private practice and has since worked on matters that span both coasts. She holds active membership in the State Bar of New York and the State Bar of California. That dual standing has allowed her to advise clients whose interests require an awareness of differing state rules and procedural environments.
Her professional title is Of Counsel at Ram, Olson, Cereghino & Kopczynski. In that role she provides experienced legal guidance to the firm’s lawyers and clients. Her background in telecommunications management gives her a practical perspective on disputes and regulatory questions that involve technology, data, and communications infrastructure. She also handles transactional work and counsels on compliance issues that may have cross-jurisdictional implications.
Colleagues describe Brynes as someone who favors clear analysis and concise written work. She tends to break complicated matters into understandable pieces. That approach suits clients who face dense regulatory frameworks or multi-state commercial problems. Brynes has worked alongside trial and transactional teams, contributing research, drafting, and strategic input.
Outside of client work, Brynes has maintained her bar memberships and remained engaged with the professional obligations that accompany practice in two states. She has adapted to changes in both legal markets over the years and keeps current on developments that affect her clients’ industries.
She currently serves as Of Counsel at Ram, Olson, Cereghino & Kopczynski, LLP, where she advises clients on matters across New York and California.
