About Eric
Eric Steinberg began his formal education in finance before turning to the law. He earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance from the University of Michigan in 1997. He later attended Chicago-Kent College of Law at the Illinois Institute of Technology, where he completed his Juris Doctor.
After law school, Steinberg established his practice in Michigan. He built a presence across the state and maintains multiple offices, including locations in Detroit, Saginaw and Flint, in addition to a main office. Over the years he has managed a caseload that reflects the demands of clients across urban and regional centers in the state.
Steinberg is active in professional circles. He serves on the Executive Board of the Michigan Association for Justice and is a member of its Amicus Committee. He also belongs to the State Bar of Michigan and the American Bar Association. Those affiliations place him in regular contact with trial lawyers, appellate practitioners and colleagues who handle civil matters throughout the state.
Colleagues describe Steinberg as methodical in case preparation and willing to engage in appellate work when needed. He has handled matters that required coordination among local counsel and those that required attention to procedural and briefing detail. His work has involved litigation management, client counseling and courtroom appearances.
Outside the courtroom, Steinberg has participated in association activities that touch on amicus briefing and policy discussions. His role on an amicus committee has involved assessing requests for the association’s participation in appeals and helping to shape the association’s response. On the executive board, he joins other board members in governance and organizational decisions.
Steinberg’s background in finance informs parts of his practice, particularly when matters require attention to economic factors, damages analyses or business records. He combines that background with years of practice in Michigan’s courts. He is licensed to practice in the state of Michigan and maintains current memberships in the professional organizations listed above.
He continues to serve clients from his offices in Detroit, Saginaw, Flint and the main office, handling litigation and related legal work for individuals and entities across Michigan. His current practice focuses on representing clients throughout Michigan from those offices.
