About Eric M
Eric M Larsen built a career that moves from corrections to the courtroom. He earned a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from Michigan State University in 1997 and later completed his Juris Doctor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2011. Those degrees bookend a practical start in the criminal justice system and a transition to criminal defense practice.
Larsen began his professional life as a probation and parole officer for the Michigan Department of Corrections in 1998. That on-the-ground experience informed his view of how courts, supervision and rehabilitation intersect. After law school he entered private practice, joining Cline Close Dyer as an associate in 2011. He spent the following years at small firms, working at Papa and Roberts PLLC in 2012 and then at Nash and Larsen PLLC in 2013. He drew on those years of courtroom and client-side work when he launched Larsen Law PLLC in 2016.
Over time Larsen has built a practice rooted in criminal defense. He holds membership in the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers since 2013 and joined the Williamson County Bar Association in 2014. He is also a member of the DUI Defense Lawyers Association, a membership he took up in 2016 and maintains today. His training includes the Criminal Defense Trial College offered through the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, a program that emphasizes trial techniques and courtroom readiness.
Cases handled by Larsen range across misdemeanor and felony matters. He represents people charged with DUI and other criminal offenses in state courts in Tennessee and Michigan. His background in probation and parole gives him familiarity with post-conviction supervision issues. In the courtroom he handles motions, plea negotiations and trials. He prepares evidence, questions witnesses and presents legal arguments on behalf of clients.
Clients see Larsen as an attorney who combines practical corrections experience with several years of criminal defense practice. He moved from public supervision work into private practice and later started his own firm to focus on criminal matters. He maintains bar memberships and continuing training through local and national defense organizations. He currently practices criminal and DUI defense at Larsen Law PLLC.
