About Elliot
Elliot Gale earned his law degree from Santa Clara University School of Law in 2008 after completing a bachelor’s degree in history at the University of Florida in 2004. He entered the bar and began practicing in California the following year. His academic path combined a broad humanities background with three years of legal training in Northern California.
He began his legal career as a senior associate in 2009 at a consumer bankruptcy firm. Early on he handled individual bankruptcy cases and bankruptcy-related adversary proceedings. Those first years offered steady courtroom exposure and frequent contact with judges, trustees and other bankruptcy professionals. They also shaped his approach to case management and client communication.
Elliot moved into firm leadership in 2019 when he became managing partner at Gale, Angelo, Johnson & Patrick PC. In that role he managed case distribution, supervised associates and coordinated litigation strategy across bankruptcy and related matters. The position required both courtroom experience and administrative oversight. It also placed him at the center of day-to-day decisions about staffing and client intake.
He was admitted to the State Bar of California in 2009 and remains active there. His practice has stayed anchored in consumer bankruptcy matters, though his caseload has included a range of contested matters typical to bankruptcy practice: plan confirmation hearings, preferability disputes, and motions for relief from stay. He has worked on both Chapter 7 and Chapter 13 matters and handled adversary proceedings when creditor disputes crossed into litigation.
Colleagues describe him as pragmatic in court and thorough in preparation. He favors clear filings and targeted pretrial work. He has balanced work on individual filings with supervising more complex cases that require coordination among multiple counsel and creditors. Those responsibilities helped transition him from a case-level role into firm management.
Today he practices at Gale, Angelo, Johnson & Pruett P.C., where he continues to handle bankruptcy cases and related litigation. He remains based in California and handles filings and hearings throughout the state. He maintains the combination of courtroom work and firm oversight that has defined much of his career.
He currently concentrates on consumer bankruptcy and related litigation.
