About Elizabeth S.
Elizabeth S. Cuccia earned her J.D. from the Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University in 2011. She completed her legal education at a time when many new attorneys were deciding between public service and private practice. Cuccia chose a path that included both, and she has built a career in Hawaii since entering the profession.
Her early professional roles included service as a Deputy Prosecuting Lawyer for the County of Maui in 2016. In that position she handled matters on behalf of the state and gained experience in courtroom practice. Later that same year she moved into private practice as an associate at Cain & Herren, taking on a broader mix of client work and litigation responsibilities.
Cuccia joined Wong Leong || Cuccia and rose to a leadership role in the firm. In 2019 she became a managing partner. Colleagues describe her as someone who balances case management with administrative duties. She oversees case strategy, supervises attorneys, and helps shape the firm’s approach to litigation and client service.
Her involvement in the legal community includes service in professional organizations. She served as Vice President of the Maui County Bar Association from 2018 to 2019. That role placed her in the middle of local bar activities and events, where she worked with other lawyers on programming and outreach.
The arc of Cuccia’s work reflects both public and private sector experience. Time in the prosecutor’s office exposed her to trial preparation and courtroom procedure. Her years in private practice broadened her exposure to client counseling and civil litigation. She brings those perspectives to the matters she handles at the firm.
Peers and clients encounter an attorney who is comfortable in court and in negotiation. She manages files, prepares witnesses, and engages opposing counsel when necessary. Her leadership at Wong Leong || Cuccia coincides with continued litigation work and client representation across Hawaii.
As of 2026 she remains a managing partner at Wong Leong || Cuccia and maintains an active litigation practice. She currently focuses her practice on litigation and trial work in Hawaii.
