About Ecleynne

Ecleynne Mercy built a steady career from the classroom to the courtroom. She earned a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Howard University in 2002, then completed her Juris Doctor at Western Michigan University Cooley Law School in 2007, where her studies emphasized litigation. Those credentials set the groundwork for a practice centered on courtroom work and appellate matters.

Early in her legal career Mercy moved into practice in Georgia. Over time she developed familiarity with both trial litigation and the procedural demands of federal appeals. She is admitted to practice in Georgia and to the United States Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit. She also holds active membership in the State Bar of Georgia, a professional affiliation she maintains while handling matters through trial and on appeal.

Mercy joined Mercy Law PC and rose to the role of managing partner in 2016. In that capacity she oversees case strategy and firm operations. Office responsibilities include supervising associates, managing client intake, and guiding litigation strategy. The managing partner role expanded her duties beyond courtroom advocacy to include administrative and leadership tasks that affect day-to-day practice and long-term planning.

Her background in litigation informs how she approaches cases. She combines courtroom preparation, motion practice, and appeals work in the firm’s docket. That combination means she spends time both drafting pleadings and preparing witnesses, and ensuring that trial records are preserved for any necessary appellate review. Her experience in those areas informs the way the firm prepares each matter from the outset.

Colleagues describe her as methodical in case preparation and attentive to procedural detail. That approach is evident in how files are handled and how litigation timelines are set. Mercy’s work requires balancing immediate trial needs with the possibility of later appeals. It also requires familiarity with the rules and practices of the Eleventh Circuit when federal issues are involved.

Outside courtrooms, Mercy maintains professional ties through bar activities and local legal circles. Her role at Mercy Law PC places her at the center of the firm’s public and internal legal work. She handles client consultations, drafts substantive filings, and coordinates with co-counsel when matters cross jurisdictions.

She now concentrates her practice on litigation and appellate matters in Georgia and before the Eleventh Circuit.
