About Dustin Paul
Dustin Paul Trammel took a route into law that began long before he ever set foot in a courtroom as an attorney. He served as a soldier in the United States Army in 2003. That early experience in a structured, demanding environment shaped how he approaches work and how he handles pressure on a case.
He earned his Juris Doctor from Arizona Summit Law School in 2013. The law degree opened the door to practice in Texas, where he moved into public service almost immediately. In 2015 he joined the Tarrant County Criminal District Lawyer's Office as an assistant district lawyer. That role put him in court regularly and gave him front-line experience handling criminal cases and navigating trial procedures.
After several years in the public sector, Trammel shifted to private practice. He joined Hoeller McLaughlin PLLC as a senior associate in 2019. The move coincided with a broader responsibility for case management and trial preparation. He carried the courtroom experience from his time in the district lawyer’s office into his client work, refining courtroom tactics and evidence presentation.
In 2023 he became a partner at Hoeller McLaughlin PLLC. The promotion reflected steady advancement within the firm and a deeper role in strategy and mentoring. As a partner he has taken on more complex litigation tasks and supervisory duties, while continuing to appear in trial settings when cases demand it.
Trammel’s career shows a steady arc from military service through public prosecution to law firm leadership. He has handled matters that require courtroom readiness and an ability to manage fast-moving litigation schedules. Colleagues describe him as methodical in preparation and direct in court. He tends to approach challenges by breaking them down into practical steps and prioritizing the work that moves a case forward.
Outside formal job titles, his work has remained anchored in Texas practice and the demands of criminal litigation. He maintains a day-to-day practice at Hoeller McLaughlin PLLC, where he combines trial experience with case management responsibilities. He is active in the firm’s work and in the supervision of younger attorneys who are learning trial work.
Trammel continues to live and practice in Texas. He currently focuses his practice on criminal defense and trial litigation in the state.
