About Doris A.
Doris A. Kim trained at Smith College and Thomas Jefferson School of Law. She earned a B.A. in economics from Smith College in 1997 and completed her J.D. at Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2002. Those years shaped her early interest in law and provided the academic foundation she built on as she entered practice.
She became a member of the New York State Bar in 2003 and added membership in the Kentucky Bar Association in 2005. Early in her career she joined Gray & White Law, where she is recorded as taking an associate role in 2005. That move placed her in a firm setting at a moment when she was expanding practical experience beyond the classroom and bar study.
Throughout the past two decades she has maintained bar memberships in both New York and Kentucky. Her dual admission allows her to work across those jurisdictions and to advise on matters that touch both state systems. Colleagues note that holding active memberships in more than one state reflects an approach to practice shaped by mobility and an awareness of differing local rules and procedures.
At Gray & White Law she has continued in an associate capacity. The firm lists her among its attorneys, and she has been part of its roster since the mid-2000s. Her work at the firm has involved handling client matters and participating in the firm’s legal workstreams. She spends her time drafting, advising, and appearing on behalf of clients as required by their cases. She currently practices at Gray & White Law, handling a range of matters for the firm’s clients.
