About Donnavon K.
Donnavon K. Vasek built his legal foundations at Nashville School of Law, where he earned his Juris Doctor. He entered the Tennessee legal community and has practiced under the state’s bar. His education grounded him in courtroom procedure and state criminal statutes.
Early in his career he became active in professional circles across Tennessee. He joined the Tennessee Bar Association in 2015, the same year he began participating in local bar governance. That involvement introduced him to peers and judges across the region and shaped how he approaches case preparation and client communication.
Vasek has taken on leadership duties at the district level. Since 2015 he has served as Vice President of the 15th Judicial District Bar Association, a role that places him in regular contact with trial judges, prosecutors, and other defense lawyers in the district. He also holds membership in the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Those roles keep him engaged with developments in state criminal law and procedural rules.
His practice experience centers on criminal defense work in Tennessee courts. He routinely handles matters that require courtroom appearances, evidentiary hearings, and negotiations with prosecutors. Colleagues describe him as steady in the courtroom and attentive to case details. He prepares for trials and hearings in a methodical way and invests time in jury selection, witness preparation, and cross-examination planning.
Vasek practices at Vasek & Robbins, PLLC. At the firm he works on a range of criminal matters at both the trial level and on post-conviction procedures. He represents individuals in state court and advises clients about plea options, pretrial motions, and sentencing exposure. He stays involved in bar associations to track legislative changes and case law developments that affect clients in Tennessee.
Outside of court appearances he focuses on explaining legal options clearly to clients. He spends time reviewing police reports, consulting experts when necessary, and mapping out defenses that align with a client’s goals. He continues to participate in professional associations and local bar leadership. His current practice concentrates on defending people charged with state offenses in Tennessee courts.
