About Diana Theresa
Diana Theresa Mohyi combined an interest in human behavior and the mechanics of law early in her education. She completed a Bachelor of Science in Brain, Behavior and Cognitive Sciences at the University of Michigan, attending from 2003 and graduating in 2007. She then moved on to Case Western Reserve University School of Law, beginning in 2008 and earning her J.D. in 2011. The sequence of degrees gave her both a scientific lens and formal legal training.
After law school, Mohyi entered practice in two states. She has been a member of the Michigan State Bar and the New York State Bar since 2012, and she maintains active memberships in both jurisdictions. Early in her post‑law school career she took on an in‑house role. In 2012 she served as General Counsel at PATH, a position that placed her on the front lines of organizational legal work and internal compliance issues.
Three years later she left that setting to start her own firm. In 2015 Mohyi founded Diana Mohyi Lawyer at Law, P.C., establishing a small firm that can represent clients in matters across Michigan and New York. The firm’s creation reflects a move toward handling legal work directly for individuals and organizations rather than working solely inside a larger institution.
Her academic background in brain and behavior continues to influence how she approaches cases. That training shapes the way she evaluates testimony, structures questions and parses complicated factual narratives. Colleagues who have observed her work describe an analytical approach. She pairs that perspective with the practicalities of operating a small practice: managing client relationships, overseeing filings and attending to procedural detail.
Outside the office she holds a PADI scuba certification, a reminder that her interests extend beyond law. That recreational pursuit has appeared in profiles and informal conversations as a personal counterpoint to her professional life. She balances the demands of practice with activities that are not connected to the legal calendar.
Mohyi’s practice remains based in the firm she founded, and she continues to maintain active bar membership in both New York and Michigan. Her current practice focuses on representing clients in matters that arise in those jurisdictions and on providing legal counsel to both individual and organizational clients.
