About Diamond

Diamond Alexander came to law from the Deep South. She completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Mississippi in 2014 and earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law in 2021. Her time at law school coincided with several practical placements that shaped the early contours of her career.

As a law student she worked on both sides of the courthouse. In 2019 she served as a student defender in the Rockdale County Public Defender's Office, representing clients in criminal matters under supervision. That same year she also took on corporate counsel internships at Carter's Inc. and PulteGroup, gaining exposure to transactional work and compliance questions inside corporate legal departments. She returned to PulteGroup in 2020 as a second-year corporate counsel intern, a role that deepened her experience in corporate operations and in-house legal processes.

After law school, Alexander moved into clerkship and staff lawyer roles. In 2021 she joined Stearns-Montgomery & Proctor as a law clerk and staff lawyer. The position required juggling research, drafting and client-facing tasks across a range of matters. In 2022 she took on associate lawyer positions at two Atlanta-area practices, Aaron Thomas Law and The Crites Firm, where she handled client matters and assisted on litigation and transactional work.

Her career reflects a mix of public defense, corporate counsel exposure and private practice. The variety of roles—student defender, corporate intern, staff lawyer, associate—gave her experience in courtroom procedure, client counseling and contract review. Peers and supervisors have noted her steady approach to legal research and her ability to move between different practice environments.

Alexander is a current member of the State Bar of Georgia. She is active in local bar and affinity groups, including the Atlanta chapter of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers and the Gate City Bar Association. She is also listed as an Alumni Scholar of the Horatio Alger Association of Distinguished Americans, a connection dating back to 2014.

She practices in Georgia and is based at The Crites Firm. Her current practice draws on prior public defense and corporate counsel work, and she handles matters for clients at The Crites Firm in Georgia.
