About Devin S.
Devin S. Devore earned his law degree from the University of Tennessee College of Law after completing undergraduate studies at Brigham Young University. He followed a traditional path through law school clinics and internships that introduced him to both public defense and government work. Those early placements shaped the practical side of his training.
During law school and immediately afterward, Devore held a series of clerkships and internships that exposed him to different slices of the legal system. He worked as a legal intern at Federal Defender Services of Eastern Tennessee and as a legal extern at the Knox County Public Defenders Community Law Office. He also spent time as a legal clerk in the Tennessee Office of the Lawyer General’s Medicaid Fraud Division and earlier served as a legal assistant at Myler Disability. The variety of these roles gave him experience on both client-facing matters and behind-the-scenes legal research.
His first post-law school position was at Banks & Jones Law Office in 2013. He moved to McKellar & Easter in 2016 as an associate and continued with the firm as it evolved into McKellar, Easter & DeVore by 2020. In 2022 he founded Easter & DeVore, Lawyers at Law. The trajectory shows steady movement from support roles into firm leadership and private practice management.
Devore is admitted to practice in Tennessee and in several federal venues. His credentials include the Sixth Circuit, the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Middle Districts of Tennessee, and the United States Tax Court. Those admissions reflect work that spans federal litigation, tax disputes, and matters that begin in state forums and move into federal court.
Memberships in professional organizations underline areas of practice that often come up in his work. He is a member of the Tennessee Bar Association and the Knoxville Bar Association, and he holds membership in the National Organization of Social Security Claimants’ Representatives. Those affiliations align with a caseload that includes Social Security claim work alongside federal and tax litigation.
Colleagues describe his practice as grounded in courtroom experience and client counseling. He runs a small firm and handles matters that require both trial preparation and appellate filings. He currently practices at Easter & DeVore, Lawyers at Law, representing clients in Social Security disability claims, tax disputes, and federal litigation.
