About Denis A.
Denis A. Scinta earned his J.D. from the State University of New York at Buffalo School of Law in 1969. He entered the profession at a time of change in the legal field and built a practice over many years. His legal education at Buffalo provided a foundation in both litigation and transactional work, and it remains a touchstone of his long career.
After law school he established himself in New York. Over the decades his work has been associated with several regional firms. He spent a significant portion of his career at HoganWillig, PLLC, working across the firm’s offices in Buffalo, Lancaster, Ellicottville and Lockport. Those roles placed him in the middle of local civil matters and regional disputes. Colleagues remember him for steady, methodical work and a willingness to take on complex files.
More recently he joined Tiveron Law PLLC as Special Counsel. The title reflects a transition from primary firm leadership to a senior advisory role. In that capacity he brings experience to bear on cases and provides counsel to younger attorneys. He also maintains memberships in professional bar organizations and remains active in the legal community.
Scinta is admitted to practice in New York. He holds a 10.0 rating on AVVO, a peer and client review platform. That rating is one of several public indicators of standing that prospective clients and peers consult when assessing lawyers. He has handled a range of matters during his career, including civil litigation and matters arising in regional courts.
His work history shows a steady presence in western New York legal circles. He has navigated regional practice settings and firm structures that serve both urban and rural clients. That background has given him familiarity with courtroom procedures, local counsel work and negotiation strategies common to mid-size practices in the state.
Colleagues describe his role at Tiveron Law PLLC as advisory and case-oriented. He reviews filings, advises on strategy and assists in client counseling when cases require seasoned judgment. He also continues to liaise with practitioners in the HoganWillig offices where he spent much of his earlier career.
He currently practices as Special Counsel at Tiveron Law PLLC, and his current practice centers on providing advisory support and handling select civil matters in New York.
