About Deirdre
Deirdre Keefe earned her J.D. from Suffolk University Law School in 1983. She completed her legal training at a time when the Massachusetts bar was changing rapidly. The degree set the stage for a long career practicing in the state.
Keefe was admitted to the Massachusetts bar in 1985 and has maintained an active license since then. She entered private practice and built a steady local presence. Over the years she has balanced courtroom work with client counseling, often handling matters that arise in state courts and administrative settings.
Her involvement in the legal community has been consistent. She holds membership in the Massachusetts State Bar since 1985. Locally, she is a member of the Plymouth County Bar Association and of the Women’s Lawyer Network of the South Shore. Those memberships reflect ongoing ties to both statewide and South Shore legal circles.
Colleagues describe Keefe as pragmatic. She favors clear analysis over rhetoric and prefers to frame issues in practical terms. In client meetings she tends to focus on problem solving and on laying out options. That approach has shaped the kinds of matters she takes on and how she staffs them.
Keefe’s work has often required attention to procedural detail. She places emphasis on deadlines, filings, and preparing records for hearings. The work can be exacting. She has stayed involved in bar activities and regional lawyer groups, attending meetings and contributing to discussions about local practice concerns.
Outside of bar membership, Keefe keeps a steady professional presence in the South Shore legal community. She has remained in Massachusetts throughout her career and continues to participate in forums where lawyers exchange practical advice. Her practice concentrates on matters in Massachusetts state courts.
