About Rosann

Rosann DiPietro earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Massachusetts–Boston in 1987 and graduated from the University of Connecticut School of Law in 1990. Her legal education took place during a period of shifting priorities in public law and education policy, themes that have shaped much of her professional involvement. She completed her formal training at UConn Law and then moved into practice in Massachusetts.

Her career has been anchored in the Commonwealth. She practices law in Massachusetts as part of Long & DiPietro, LLP. The firm carries the names of its founding partners and operates in the state where she is licensed. Over the years she has maintained membership in the Massachusetts Bar Association, participating in the professional activities that the state bar offers its members.

Alongside the state bar, DiPietro is a member of the Massachusetts Council of School Lawyers. That organization concentrates on legal issues affecting public and private education in the state. Her involvement in that council places her among lawyers who consult on school governance, student rights, collective bargaining questions and other matters that intersect with education policy and law.

Her practice experience is built on that local focus. She works on matters that arise under Massachusetts law and draws on the continuing legal education and peer networks provided by her professional associations. Those connections offer routes for staying current on regulatory and statutory changes that affect public institutions and other local clients.

Colleagues at Long & DiPietro, LLP describe the firm as a small practice that handles regional legal needs across several areas of state law. DiPietro’s role at the firm aligns with that practice model. She contributes to the firm’s client services and participates in the types of cases and matters that routinely appear in Massachusetts courts and administrative settings.

Her academic background and her professional memberships reflect a sustained engagement with the legal community in the state. She continues to be active in the Massachusetts Bar Association and in the Massachusetts Council of School Lawyers, where practitioners meet to discuss developments in education and municipal law. She currently practices at Long & DiPietro, LLP, concentrating on matters that arise under Massachusetts law.
