Deanna Whitestone is a corporate and securities attorney admitted to practice law in California. She holds and has an active license status. Ms. Whitestone is currently serving as counsel at Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, a law firm located in Los Angeles, California. She has been practicing law for several years, providing legal services to both private and public companies in the region.
Ms. Whitestone earned her Juris Doctor degree, magna cum laude, from Southwestern University School of Law, where she served as Lead Articles Editor of the Journal of Law and Trade in the Americas. She graduated with honors from Portland State University, obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree. Her academic achievements reflect a strong foundation in legal studies and a commitment to excellence in her field.
Her practice areas encompass corporate law, finance, securities, and mergers and acquisitions. Ms. Whitestone advises clients on a broad range of legal matters, including entity formation, commercial contracts, employment issues, and various transactional work. She has experience in public and private offerings of debt and equity, PIPE deals, mergers and acquisitions, and reverse mergers. Additionally, she assists public companies with corporate governance, disclosure requirements, and the preparation and filing of registration statements, proxy materials, and periodic reports under the Securities Acts of 1933 and 1934.
Before joining Raines Feldman Littrell LLP, Ms. Whitestone began her legal career at FINRA, working in both the Enforcement and Member Regulation departments, gaining valuable insight into securities regulation. She also practiced corporate and securities law at the Post Law Group PC and Richardson & Patel LLP. Her diverse experience has equipped her with a comprehensive understanding of the legal challenges faced by businesses in the corporate and securities sectors.
Ms. Whitestone is an active member of the legal community, serving on the governing board of APEX Academy, a public charter school supporting at-risk youth in Los Angeles. Her involvement in community initiatives demonstrates a commitment to social responsibility and the betterment of the community. She is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing her to effectively serve a diverse clientele in the Los Angeles area.
