About Dayna W.

Dayna W. Thomas earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law, where she studied entertainment law and business law. She holds a B.B.A. in business marketing from Georgia State University. During and after law school she completed coursework and certifications in transactional law through Emory and in research skills through LexisNexis.

Her legal training included a stint as a judicial law clerk intern for the Eighth Judicial District Court. Early in her career she worked as a legal assistant at several firms and organizations, including Georgia Lawyers for the Arts, R. Gary Spencer, P.C., and the Law Offices of Evita G. Kaigler, LLC. Those roles exposed her to litigation support, client intake and the practical demands of arts and entertainment matters.

Parallel to her legal roles she ran Biz Branding & Consulting, LLC as owner and principal consultant. That work kept her close to brand strategy and the business side of creative enterprises. She later joined Hooper & Honoré, LLC as an associate lawyer, handling transactional and corporate matters for a variety of clients.

Today she is principal lawyer at The Law Office of Dayna Thomas, LLC. Her practice reflects both her academic background and her hands-on experience. She handles transactional agreements, corporate formation and governance, licensing deals, and matters that touch intellectual property and the creative economy. She advises artists, small business owners and entrepreneurs on contracts, rights clearance and basic risk management.

Thomas maintains memberships in professional organizations across business and entertainment law. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia and of the Atlanta Bar Association, where she participates in the Business Law and Intellectual Property Law Section. She also holds memberships with the American Bar Association in both the Business Law and Entertainment Law Sections. Outside the bar, she serves as Georgia Section Director for Alpha Kappa Psi, the professional business fraternity, and sits on the board of Future Music Lawyers.

Her background blends legal training, transactional certification and hands-on consulting for creative and business clients. She practices in Georgia and operates The Law Office of Dayna Thomas, LLC, where her practice focuses on business and entertainment law matters in the state.
