About David
David Zagoria trained first as a historian and then as a lawyer. He earned a B.A. in history from the University of the South in 1992 and completed his J.D. at South Texas College of Law in 1996. Those years set the stage for a career that has moved between public service and private practice.
He began his legal work in the prosecutor’s office. Early roles included Assistant Solicitor at the DeKalb County Solicitor General’s Office and Assistant District Lawyer in the Gwinnett District Lawyer’s Office. Those positions gave him courtroom time and exposure to trial procedure. He later served as Chief Senior Assistant District Lawyer in the Fulton County District Lawyer’s Office, a post that involved leading case teams and handling heavier trial dockets.
After a string of public-sector posts, Zagoria shifted to private practice. He worked as an associate at Montilick & Associates, P.C., taking on civil matters and continuing to appear in trial courts. He later became a partner at Webb & Zagoria, LLC, where he handled both litigation and client counseling. Those years in firms rounded out the prosecutorial perspective he had developed in county offices.
Throughout his career he has balanced trial work and courtroom advocacy. He has experience on both sides of the aisle: prosecuting criminal cases for the state and pursuing civil claims in private practice. He is admitted to practice in Georgia and has appeared before the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit.
Zagoria maintains memberships in a number of professional organizations. He is listed as a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, the Lawyer’s Club of Atlanta, and the Georgia Trial Lawyers Association. He also belongs to the Georgia Association of Personal Injury Lawyers, the American Bar Association and the American Association for Justice. Those affiliations reflect continuing ties to trial lawyers and to peers across the state and nation.
He now operates The Zagoria Law Office, LLC. His practice in recent years combines civil litigation and personal injury work, drawing on his courtroom experience from both prosecution and private firm engagements. He concentrates his current practice on civil litigation, including personal injury cases.
