About David Scott
David Scott Nenner built a legal career that began in the mid-1980s and has continued in Pennsylvania ever since. He entered the profession as a lawyer in 1985 at Deutsch & Shigon, where he gained early courtroom and firm experience that shaped his approach to practice. That first position led to the creation of his own practice in 1990, when he became a partner at David S. Nenner & Associates. Two decades later he joined Nenner & Namerow, P.C. as a partner in 2014, where he remains active.
Nenner’s career tracks a steady progression from associate to firm leadership. He spent his early years handling the duties typically entrusted to junior lawyers at established firms, then moved into a leadership role with his eponymous practice in 1990. The decision to form David S. Nenner & Associates marked a transition to managing client matters and directing firm affairs. His 2014 move to Nenner & Namerow, P.C. continued that pattern of partnership and management within a small-firm environment.
Colleagues describe him as the kind of lawyer who stayed close to the practical demands of client work while also attending to the administrative side of running a practice. His time in private practice spans more than four decades. That longevity has given him familiarity with the courts and legal community in Pennsylvania. He has worked through changes in court procedures, technological shifts in case management, and evolving expectations from clients and opposing counsel.
Alongside casework, his role as a partner has involved mentoring junior attorneys and helping shape firm policies. He has overseen matters from intake through resolution and has carried the responsibilities partners commonly shoulder: client development, case strategy, and governance. Those duties have been carried out across two firms that bear his name and in partnership with others.
Outside of the office, Nenner’s long tenure in the profession has kept him connected to peers across the state. He has practiced continuously in Pennsylvania and has maintained an active presence in the local legal community. As of 2026 he continues in private practice as a partner at Nenner & Namerow, P.C., practicing law in Pennsylvania at that firm.
