About David Pierre
David Pierre Turchi earned his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law in 2000, after beginning his legal studies in 1997. His time at law school overlapped the turn of the century and set the stage for a career spent in litigation. He completed the formal legal training required to practice and moved into courtroom work soon after graduation.
Since 2014 he has served as Principal and Trial Lawyer at his own practice, David P. Turchi, Esq. The title reflects both ownership of the office and an active litigation role. He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and New York, and he holds federal admissions in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Those admissions allow him to bring cases in state courts and in two of the region’s federal trial courts.
Turchi’s professional memberships include the New York City Bar Association and the Westchester County Bar Association, both of which list him as a member beginning in 2014 and continuing through the present. Membership in these associations places him among attorneys who regularly engage with local bar activities and professional development opportunities. In practice he appears in courtroom settings as a trial lawyer and manages matters that proceed through litigation rather than simply settling at intake.
His career path is straightforward and concentrated on courtroom work. Operating from his own office, he has maintained an active trial practice for more than a decade. The work involves preparation for trial and appearances in both state and federal venues where he is authorized to practice. His current practice centers on litigation in state and federal courts in Connecticut and New York.
