About David J.

David J. Bozzuto earned his law degree from Western New England University School of Law in 1981. He came to law after graduate study at Southern Connecticut State University, where he received a master’s degree in 1976. His undergraduate years were spent at Hobart and William Smith Colleges, finishing with a B.A. in 1969. The sequence of degrees shows a steady progression into the legal profession during the late 20th century.

Bozzuto is admitted to practice in Connecticut, before the United States District Court for the District of Connecticut, and in the United States Supreme Court. Those admissions reflect a practice that extends beyond state lines into the federal court system. He has been active in the bar community for many years and maintains memberships in the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association.

His career spans decades and the transition from academic training to courtroom work. After completing his J.D. in 1981, he began practicing law in Connecticut. Over the years he has handled matters in state and federal courts, gaining experience that comes from long practice rather than a single specialty handed down in a biography.

Colleagues describe him as a steady presence who understands courtroom procedure and the rhythms of litigation. He is known for a practical approach to casework and for preparing matters to the point where they can be tried if necessary. That preparation is a throughline in a career that has included filings in federal court and appearances that require familiarity with both trial and appellate processes.

Outside the courtroom, Bozzuto has kept ties to the organized bar. His memberships in the American Bar Association and the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association have kept him connected to developments in evidence, procedure, and trial practice. Those connections have also provided a forum for exchanging ideas with other litigators across the state and the country.

He is currently of counsel at Secor, Cassidy, & Mc Partland, PC. He maintains an active docket in Connecticut and appears in federal court as matters require. His present practice involves handling litigation matters in state and federal venues where he applies decades of courtroom experience to his clients’ cases.
