About David
David Beck built his legal career from the ground up. He first studied criminal law and legal studies at City University of New York—Queens College and later at St. John’s University, earning bachelor’s degrees before turning to law school. He completed his J.D. at Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in 2017, where he took courses in torts and other core subjects that feed into trial work.
His early years in the field were hands-on. In 2009 he worked as a paralegal at Harris Law Group, LLP. The next year he handled paralegal duties and collections work at offices connected to Ariel Aminov and later supported medical office operations. Those positions exposed him to the practical side of case preparation and client intake. In 2012 he took a role as a watchdog advocate for IME Watchdog, Inc., monitoring independent medical examinations. That work gave him a grounding in medical documentation and the intersection of medicine and law.
Following law school he moved into traditional legal trainee roles. In 2016 he served as a law clerk for The ORLOW Firm, then in 2017 worked as a legal assistant and paralegal at Helen Dalton & Associates, P.C. He stepped into a lawyer role later that year at Kaplan Lawyers, PC. Those positions bridged the shift from support functions to courtroom and client-facing responsibilities.
Since 2018 Beck has been listed as a lawyer at Beck Law, P.C. His path from paralegal and clerk to principal attorney reflects steady movement through different parts of the practice. He is admitted to practice in New York and has spent much of his career in New York law offices, handling matters that require attention to detail and procedural competence.
Colleagues describe Beck as practical and methodical in the way he approaches files. He has worked on collection matters, client advocacy around medical examinations, and the kinds of litigation support that help shape case strategy. His background gives him familiarity with both the paperwork that underpins many disputes and the procedural steps that move cases forward.
Outside the office he maintains memberships in legal associations and keeps ties to the local legal community. He remains active in the practice through Beck Law, P.C., balancing courtroom work, client counseling and case preparation. He currently concentrates his practice on representing clients in civil matters in New York state courts.
