About David Alan
David Alan Wolf grew up studying numbers before he turned to the law. He earned a B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida in 1987 and returned to UF for his J.D., which he completed in 1990. Those formative years combined business training and legal study, a combination that would shape his approach as a lawyer.
He began his legal career in clerkships. In 1989 he worked in the Appellate Department of the United States Lawyers Office for the Southern District. After law school he clerked at Darby, Peele, Bowdoin & Payne, P.A., then moved into private practice. Early positions included roles at Smith & Thompson, P.A. and Walter A. Steigleman, P.A. He joined Ford, Domnick & Wolf, P.A. as a partner in 1993 and became a partner at Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A. in 1998.
Over three decades he has concentrated on personal injury matters. He represents clients in a range of cases arising from automobile collisions, workplace incidents and other accidents that cause serious injury. He also holds a Notary Public credential through the National Notary Association, which supports document work in client matters.
Wolf has been active in bar and civic organizations for much of his career. He joined the Florida Bar in 1990 and has maintained membership since then. He is also a member of the Florida Justice Association and the Federal Bar for the Middle District of Florida. Locally, he has participated in the Jacksonville Bar Association, the Jacksonville Justice Association and the Jacksonville Trial Lawyers Association. From 1998 to 2018 he served on the board of the Jacksonville Jewish Community Alliance and held officer roles including vice president, treasurer and secretary.
Outside of the courtroom he founded the Good Deed Brigade in 2013 and has remained involved. Other community roles have included advisory and board positions tied to youth sports and neighborhood programs. Those activities reflect a long-standing presence in the Jacksonville area and recurring engagement with civic institutions.
Today he practices at Wood, Atter & Wolf, P.A., where he handles personal injury cases and related civil litigation. His work continues to center on representing injured people in Florida courts and administrative forums.
