About David Aaron
David Aaron Miller has practiced law in Virginia and Pennsylvania for more than three decades. He earned his undergraduate degree in government from George Mason University in 1982 and completed his J.D. at the University of Virginia School of Law in 1985. Those formative years set the course for a career spent largely in regional bar organizations and collaborative practice circles.
After law school, Miller was admitted to the Virginia State Bar in 1985 and to the Pennsylvania bar in 1987. He has maintained active memberships in both states since those admissions. For much of his career he has participated in county bar associations across southwestern Pennsylvania, including Washington, Butler and Allegheny counties. He also holds membership in the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Pennsylvania State Bar.
In 2006, Miller joined the board of the Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania. He remains on that board today. That long tenure reflects a sustained interest in nonlitigation approaches to resolving disputes. Board service has kept him engaged with training, peer exchanges and the evolving practice of collaborative processes in family and civil matters.
Colleagues describe him as methodical. He prefers steady work over publicity and has built a reputation for consistent participation in local professional groups. His record of memberships suggests a practice rooted in community institutions rather than in big-firm branding or courtroom spectacle. Over the years he has balanced bar activity with client work, contributing to local continuing-education programs and committee efforts where those opportunities have arisen.
Miller’s dual admission to the bars of Virginia and Pennsylvania has enabled him to advise clients whose matters touch both states. That geographic flexibility has been useful for people and businesses in border communities. He has also used his board role to mentor younger attorneys drawn to collaborative techniques.
Outside his bar and association work, Miller’s public profile is quiet. He does not seek headlines. Instead he has relied on professional networks and referrals to sustain his practice. That approach has translated into longevity in local legal circles and sustained participation in association leadership.
As of 2026 he continues to practice law in the region, maintaining active memberships in multiple county and state bar organizations. He now concentrates his practice on collaborative law and dispute-resolution matters.
