About Liberty

Liberty Weyandt earned her law degree from Syracuse University in 2001 after completing undergraduate studies at Webster University where she studied history, political science and music. Her academic background combined liberal arts and rigorous legal training, providing a broad base for a career that bridges interpersonal dispute resolution and civil practice.

After law school, Weyandt built a practice across state lines. She is licensed to practice in New Jersey and Pennsylvania and has maintained an active role in bar and collaborative law organizations in the Pittsburgh area. Over the years she has moved between courtroom work and alternative dispute resolution, finding professional home in collaborative processes.

Her certification as a Collaborative Law Lawyer from the International Academy of Collaborative Professionals marks a formal commitment to non-litigious resolution methods. That credential sits alongside long-standing committee work. She is a current member of the Allegheny County Bar Association Collaborative Committee and has served on the civil committee of The Collaborative Law Association of Southwestern Pennsylvania (CLASP), where she has been Vice Chair since 2010. Those roles have kept her involved in shaping local practice norms and education around collaborative approaches.

Weyandt’s undergraduate studies in history and political science inform how she frames legal problems. She often emphasizes context and client goals when assessing options. Her training in music surfaces in a different way: an attention to rhythm and timing in negotiations and a preference for orderly process. These are personal observations rather than formal specialties, but they surface in the way she describes casework to clients and to colleagues.

Within the professional community, Weyandt is known for steady participation in interdisciplinary committees and continuing education. Her work with CLASP and the Allegheny County Bar Association places her in a network of practitioners who favor negotiated and collaborative solutions. She has contributed to local programs and panels aimed at expanding the use of collaborative techniques in civil matters.

Today she practices at The Lynch Law Group, LLC and handles matters that draw on collaborative practice principles across New Jersey and Pennsylvania. Her current practice centers on collaborative law and related civil dispute resolution work.
