About Dave
Dave Austin earned his law degree from the University of Puget Sound in 1992 after completing undergraduate studies at the University of Montana–Missoula, where he received a B.S. in Resource Conservation in 1988. His academic path combined a scientific undergraduate training with legal education, an uncommon pairing that informed how he approached problem solving early in his career. He graduated law school in the early 1990s and entered private practice soon thereafter.
He began building his legal career in New Hampshire. By 1995 he had become a partner at Burke & Eisner. That promotion came relatively early and placed him in a position to take on broader responsibilities within the firm. His time as a partner covered matters that required coordination among lawyers, clients and outside professionals. Colleagues from that period recall a pragmatic style—workmanlike and direct.
Over the decades since he earned his J.D., Austin has remained in private practice in New Hampshire. He has represented clients in a variety of contexts and handled matters at both the transactional and courtroom levels. He has experience managing cases from intake through resolution and has worked with individual clients, small businesses and other organizations. The combination of a science-oriented undergraduate degree and a legal education gave him an analytical approach to examining facts and records.
Austin’s earlier education in resource conservation is part of his professional story but does not define it. He has applied that background where relevant and kept a broad practice that addresses the immediate needs of his clients rather than a single niche. His work over the years reflects steady participation in the legal community of his state and long-term relationships with clients and other lawyers.
He maintains an office on Daniel Webster Highway in New Hampshire. He continues to practice law in the state and handles a range of legal matters for clients there.
