About Daniela F.

Daniela F. Henriques built her route to law on two New York campuses. She earned a Bachelor of Arts from Fordham University and went on to receive her Juris Doctor from New York Law School. Those years shaped her thinking and set the stage for a career spent in courtrooms and conference rooms across the state.

Early in her career she joined Leav & Steinberg, LLP. Over time she moved into leadership at the firm and now serves as a partner. She has worked on a range of matters that brought her before judges and juries, and that practice experience informs how she prepares cases and advises clients.

Her professional affiliations include membership in the New York State Trial Lawyers Institute. That connection reflects the trial-oriented work she has taken on. Colleagues describe her as exacting in courtroom preparation and deliberate when weighing strategic options. She balances an eye for procedural detail with attention to the day-to-day concerns of clients.

The cases she handles often require a mix of factual investigation and legal argument. She has navigated pretrial motion practice, discovery disputes and trial preparation. On any given day she might be drafting pleadings, taking depositions, or sitting across the table from opposing counsel in settlement talks. The work demands stamina and an ability to distill complex facts into clear themes for a judge or jury.

Clients and peers note that she communicates plainly about risk and timing. She prefers to set realistic expectations early and to update clients as a matter progresses. That approach helps in tense moments when deadlines loom or the litigation record shifts. It also shapes the internal processes she uses at the firm to coordinate paralegals, experts and outside consulting attorneys.

Outside the courtroom, she remains tied to New York’s legal community through continuing education and professional events. Her training at Fordham and New York Law School underpins a practical approach to courtroom practice, one that emphasizes preparation and clarity.

She is a partner at Leav & Steinberg, LLP, working from the firm’s offices in New York. She currently practices trial and litigation matters in New York.
