About Daniel R.

Daniel R. Chaidez earned his law degree from the University of Illinois - Chicago John Marshall Law School in 2013 after completing undergraduate studies in political science at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign in 2010. He moved from a general interest in public affairs into legal study in Chicago, where he spent his time learning trial skills and civil procedure fundamentals.

After law school he took up practice in Illinois. He is admitted to the Illinois bar and has worked on matters arising in state courts. His work has centered on civil litigation, and over the course of his career he has focused his docket on claims arising from accidents and injuries. He brings courtroom preparation and file management to each matter he handles.

Chaidez joined Mathys & Schneid Personal Injury Lawyers, where he works as an attorney handling personal injury claims. At the firm he prepares cases for settlement negotiations and trial. He reviews medical records, consults with experts and coordinates pleadings and discovery. His caseload includes individual claimants who allege harm from physical injury, and he represents clients from the early intake stage through resolution.

Collegial involvement has been part of his professional life. He holds memberships in the DuPage County Bar Association and the Illinois State Bar Association. He participates in meetings and continuing legal education programs offered through those organizations and has maintained connections to lawyers across the region.

Peers describe his courtroom manner as steady and procedural. He puts emphasis on evidence gathering and clear presentation of facts. He tends to take a methodical approach to case development, breaking complex medical and liability information into issues that judges and juries can follow.

Outside of court filings, Chaidez spends time preparing client statements and helping claimants understand filing timelines and what to expect during litigation. He balances negotiation strategy with preparation for trial, keeping both options on the table as cases evolve.

He practices at Mathys & Schneid Personal Injury Lawyers in Illinois and continues to handle personal injury litigation and claims for clients in state court. He currently practices personal injury law at Mathys & Schneid Personal Injury Lawyers.
