About Daniel
Daniel Munley studied at the University of Scranton, earning a Bachelor of Science in 1990. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor from the University of Tulsa College of Law in 1994. Those years of formal training laid the groundwork for a courtroom-centered career that began in the mid-1990s.
He joined Munley Law in 1997 and has been associated with the firm since then. He is admitted to practice in Pennsylvania, the United States District Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania, and the United States Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit. His role at Munley Law has centered on trial work, and he has maintained active membership in the Pennsylvania State Bar and several local bar associations throughout his career.
Certifications are a notable part of his professional profile. He is a Board Certified Civil Trial Advocate by the National Board of Trial Advocacy. He also holds certification from the Association of Interstate Trucking Lawyers of America, and he serves on the Board of Regents of the Academy of Truck Accident Lawyers. Those credentials reflect an emphasis on trial procedure and cases involving commercial vehicles.
Over the years he has participated in national and state litigation organizations. He is a current member of the American Association for Justice and the Pennsylvania Association for Justice. He has been involved in the American Association of Justice Public Relations Committee and belongs to the Pennsylvania Trial Lawyers Association and the Trial Lawyers Care organization. Locally, he holds memberships in the Lackawanna and Luzerne County bar associations.
Outside of purely legal circles he has taken board roles in community and civic organizations. He has served on the Board of Directors and as Solicitor for Abington Little League. He has also been involved with Forum Towers’ board and served on the board for the Muscular Dystrophy Association Black and Blue Ball from 2007 to 2009. Those roles point to an interest in community institutions as well as professional groups.
In the courtroom he brings board certification and practical trial experience to bear. He works on matters that require courtroom presence, including civil trials and cases involving commercial vehicles. At Munley Law he continues to try cases and advise clients on litigation strategy. He currently handles civil trial and truck-accident litigation at Munley Law.
