About Daniel M.

Daniel M. Miller earned his law degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Law in 1989 after completing a Bachelor of Science in Management at Pennsylvania State University in 1986. He entered the legal profession at a time when regional practice still hinged on courtroom presence and local ties. His academic record provided a traditional foundation for the practice that followed.

Soon after law school, Miller joined the legal community in Pennsylvania. He is admitted to the bar of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania. He is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Western District of Pennsylvania. Those admissions have allowed him to handle matters in both state and federal forums over a multi-decade career.

Miller spent a significant portion of his career at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton, where he is a partner. His role at the firm has included courtroom work and advising clients on matters that require litigation in Pennsylvania courts and the federal district. Colleagues describe him as methodical and steady; he has a reputation for measured advocacy rather than headline-seeking litigation.

Professional memberships have been part of Miller’s routine. He maintains membership in the American Bar Association, the Pennsylvania Bar Association and the Erie County Bar Association. Those affiliations have kept him connected to changes in procedure and case law across multiple levels of government. He has served in bar-related contexts that emphasize continuing legal education and local professional standards.

Outside of his law practice, Miller has been active in community service. He has served as Chairman of the Board of Directors for the Sarah A. Reed Children's Centers. That involvement reflects long-standing ties to nonprofit governance and local social service institutions. He has balanced firm responsibilities with board work, often drawing on management training from his undergraduate studies.

Today Miller continues as a partner at MacDonald, Illig, Jones & Britton. He practices in Pennsylvania and appears in federal court in the Western District of Pennsylvania. His work remains grounded in courtroom practice, bar participation and local civic involvement.
