About Daniel J

Daniel J Tobler is an attorney licensed to practice in Utah. He built his legal foundation at Gonzaga University School of Law, where he earned his J.D. in 2009. During law school he took substantial coursework in civil and criminal law, preparing for a practice that crosses both areas.

After law school, Tobler became active in the local legal community. He joined the Southern Utah Bar Association in 2009 and has maintained that membership into the present. That connection has kept him engaged with regional developments and the networks that shape practice in southern Utah.

Tobler’s work covers both civil and criminal matters. He represents clients in courtroom settings and in pretrial negotiations. His approach to cases is practical. He aims to identify the discrete legal issues quickly, then pursue resolutions that match a client’s objectives. He handles filings, motions, and evidentiary matters, and prepares cases for trial when needed.

In civil matters he has worked on disputes that involve claims, defenses, and procedural strategy. In criminal matters he addresses charges that require careful attention to constitutional protections, evidentiary rules, and plea options. He moves between litigation tasks and client counseling, trying to keep legal choices clear and manageable for those he represents.

Outside of casework, Tobler takes part in bar association activities, attending meetings and staying current on rules and practice changes that affect Utah practitioners. That participation informs how he advises clients about timing, remedy options, and likely court procedures in the region.

Colleagues describe him as methodical in case preparation and direct in communication. He balances court appearances with the behind-the-scenes work that litigation demands: discovery, research, and drafting. He spends time preparing witnesses and testing legal theories before they reach a judge or jury.

He practices law in Utah and continues to accept matters in civil and criminal law. His current practice focuses on representing clients in both civil disputes and criminal defense across the state.
