About Daniel Harris

Daniel Harris Miller built a legal career that moves between private practice and public service. He arrived in law after an undergraduate degree in resource economics. He earned a B.S. from the University of Connecticut in 2000 and a J.D. from Western New England University School of Law in 2004.

After law school Miller set out on his own. In 2007 he opened The Law Offices of Daniel H. Miller and began taking on clients in Connecticut. That same year he joined the Waterbury and Litchfield bar associations, affiliations he still maintains. The next year brought a short stint in public service. In 2008 he served as a Special Deputy Assistant State's Lawyer in Waterbury, working with the Office of the State's Lawyer on matters brought before that office.

His resume continued to expand over the next decade. In 2017 he became a partner at Sullivan, Attanasio & Miller. The move placed him in a small-firm setting alongside other lawyers and shifted some of his day-to-day responsibilities from solo practice to firm collaboration. Over the years his practice has required courtroom appearances, client counseling, negotiations and the quieter work of drafting and review.

Miller has kept steady ties to local legal communities. He has been listed as a member of the Waterbury Bar Association since 2007 and the Litchfield Bar Association since the same year. Those connections anchor him in regional legal networks and give him regular contact with judges and fellow attorneys across Connecticut.

He is admitted to practice in Connecticut and bases his work in the state. The path from law school through solo practice, a period of public-sector work, and then partnership shows a lawyer who has experienced multiple sides of the table. Miller’s background in resource economics and law gives him a mix of analytical training and courtroom experience.

Clients and colleagues have encountered him in municipal courthouses, in state filings and at local bar events. He has balanced client work with the procedural demands that come with representation before courts and administrative bodies. As of 2026 he practices in Connecticut, handling matters that arise in both private and firm settings.
