About Dane
Dane Watson built his legal foundation in the classroom and the courthouse. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from the University of Arizona in 2011 and received his J.D. from Thomas Jefferson School of Law in 2015. During law school he took on practical work that foreshadowed a career in civil litigation.
His earliest legal experience came as a law clerk in 2014 at the Clark County District Attorney's Office, Civil Division. The role exposed him to courtroom procedure and civil case management. After law school he joined private practice as an associate at Ganz & Hauf CTHD in 2016, where he handled a range of plaintiff-side matters and honed client communication and litigation skills.
In 2017 he moved into an in-house role as general counsel for Budget Rent a Car. The position required a different set of legal tools. He advised on contract issues, compliance and internal risk. That corporate chapter broadened his view of how legal strategy intersects with business operations.
Watson returned to private practice and litigation work in 2021 when he became an associate at Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC. There he joined a team that focuses on personal injury and accident claims. His work at the firm has included discovery, witness preparation and trial support, as well as negotiating settlements on behalf of injured clients.
He holds admissions in Nevada, the Ninth Circuit and California. Since 2014 he has maintained membership in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Society at Thomas Jefferson School of Law, indicating an ongoing interest in mediation and other dispute resolution methods.
Colleagues describe him as practical in the courtroom and attentive with clients. He moves between detailed case preparation and the more strategic tasks of advising clients on realistic outcomes. That balance has guided his choices in practice settings, from a public civil office to corporate counsel, then back to plaintiff-side litigation.
He now practices at Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC, where he handles accident and injury matters and works on cases that progress toward settlement or trial depending on client objectives and the facts of each case.
