About Dana P.
Dana P. Oswalt built a legal path that begins in the classroom and moves steadily into courtroom work. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Justice Studies and Social Inquiry with a minor in Political Science from Arizona State University, graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2005. She went on to the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law and received her J.D. in 2010.
Her early legal work included a law clerk role at Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC in 2013. A year later she joined the same firm as an associate. Those positions anchored her experience in civil litigation and client advocacy. Over time she took on courtroom responsibilities and handled matters arising from vehicle collisions, workplace injuries and related claims.
Oswalt is licensed in Nevada and is a member of the U.S. District Court for the District of Nevada. Outside the office she has been active in bar and trial lawyer circles. She has been a member of the Nevada Justice Association since 2012 and became co-chair of the association’s Club X Committee in 2018. She joined the American Association for Justice in 2017.
Her participation in the State Bar of Nevada’s Southern Nevada Disciplinary Committee traces a clear progression. She served as a panel member from 2017 to 2018, chaired that panel from 2019 to 2020, and has been vice chair of the committee since 2020. Those roles placed her in the middle of professional standards work and peer review processes in the southern part of the state.
Colleagues describe her as thorough in case preparation and direct in court. She handles client interviews, evidence gathering and the drafting of pleadings, and she appears in both state and federal venues where the firm’s cases require it. Her practical courtroom experience grew out of steady casework at Benson & Bingham and the responsibilities she accepted as an associate.
Oswalt combines litigation practice with service inside professional organizations. That mix has shaped her view of advocacy and conduct in practice. She continues to work from Benson & Bingham Accident Injury Lawyers, LLC, representing people injured in accidents and pursuing claims in Nevada.
