About Damian
Damian Mallard built his practice on courtroom work and steady, practical judgment. He founded Mallard Law Office in 2002 after years in litigation and has since concentrated his career on civil trial matters in Florida.
Mallard earned his law degree at Stetson University College of Law. Early in his legal education he served as a legal extern in 1989 at the Federal District Court for the Middle District of Florida in Tampa. That experience gave him an early look at federal procedure and the pace of trial court work.
After completing his studies he pursued litigation in Florida courts and developed a trial-oriented practice. In 2002 he established Mallard Law Office to handle civil disputes requiring courtroom advocacy. Over time his practice has emphasized contested matters that often require preparation for trial and live testimony.
He is Board Certified in Civil Trial Law by the Florida Bar Board of Legal Specialization and Education. That certification indicates a level of experience and peer review in civil trial practice under Florida Bar rules. It also shapes how he prepares cases and assesses settlement options.
Mallard writes for and participates in several professional forums. He has contributed to the Trial Lawyers Section of the Florida Bar and to publications associated with the Sarasota County Bar Association. He also serves as a guest lecturer at the University of South Florida’s College of Business Administration, where he speaks about legal issues that intersect with business practice and risk management.
His professional memberships include the American Association for Justice, the American Inns of Court, the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the Florida Justice Association, and the Sarasota County Bar Association. He has maintained an active presence in those groups, using the networks to exchange trial techniques and to follow developments in civil litigation.
Colleagues describe him as steady and workmanlike in the courtroom. He prepares witness testimony, handles evidentiary disputes, and manages pretrial motions. He now practices at Mallard Law Office, handling civil trial matters in Florida.
