About Damaris
Damaris Pereira built her academic foundation at the University of Miami. She earned a B.B.A. in Finance and Business Law in 2001. Three years later she completed her J.D. at the University of Miami School of Law in 2004. Those years in Miami shaped both her legal knowledge and her ties to the local community.
After law school she established a career in Florida. Over time she moved from classroom theory to the practical problems that clients bring into an attorney’s office. Her background in finance and business law gave her tools for handling transactions, contracts and business-related disputes. She learned to translate technical concepts into advice a client could use.
Her professional life is centered in private practice. She works at Pereira Law, P.A., where she handles matters on behalf of individuals and businesses across Florida. The firm serves local clients and represents interests that arise under state law. Pereira has handled cases that require both legal analysis and attention to procedural detail.
Outside the office she takes part in the legal community. She currently serves as a director of the Miami Lakes Bar Association. In that role she takes part in governance and in programs designed to connect lawyers in the region. The position keeps her involved in issues that affect courtroom practice and the administration of justice at the local level.
